St. Paul the Apostle penned these words to his disciple and son in the faith, Timothy.
These words are filled meaning and implication for all of us.
For example, if you’re in the “fourth quarter of your life” you might feel like life has, indeed, been a fight, but you’re not sure if the fight has been good or not so good, and you’re worn out from the fight.
If you’re in the “fourth quarter of your life” you know the finish line is closer now than ever before and you want to finish strong but you’re not sure if you can or just how…you’re tired and out of breath.
If you’re in the “fourth quarter of your life” you might be finding you have more regrets than accomplishments…your plans didn’t play out and winning doesn’t seem possible at this point.
OR…
You might find yourself like Paul and you’ve won the fight, you’re about to finish the race and those things you’ve held dear to in life, you still believe and hold dear to. Congrats to you!
BUT what if you’ve, metaphorically speaking, landed your plane too early and even hangared your plane, and you’re waiting out the sum of your days, with little or no idea what you should …or could…be doing from now till then?
What if you’ve accomplished your bucket list but there’s still “time left on the clock”? Or you’ve just kicked the bucket and moved on?
What if you’ve let go of dreams? And you’d like to reignite those dreams, discover or rediscover a heartfelt purpose as you make your way to the finish line?
Would you like to dream? Would you like to live intentionally and purposefully?
Would you like to leave a long-lasting legacy…actually outlive yourself and have impact on your family and friends who are coming up behind you?
It’s totally possible! There is a way to make your life a better life…and it starts with you.
Are you ready?
Listen to these words from King David who had great insights for life: “My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalm 139:15-16)
God knows the number of your days…you do not…so why not get reenergized and live well? Why not finish well?
Let’s talk! Let’s talk soon and make a plan! Let’s talk soon, make a plan and start living that plan!
